  • Jazz Skills Workshop reminder: There is such large vocal group actually in the Honor Jazz Band Festival to do solo work and jazz ensemble that we cannot offer the vocal component of the Jaz Skills Workshop this year. - 12 September, 2008
  • Errors in Honor Band Snare Drum Audition - Set A: Bar 42 - notes should be 16th's. Bar 49 there should be an 8th note rest after the first beat. - 12 September, 2008
  • Reminder: All auditions for International Honor Orchestra, International Honor Band and Choir, and Middle School Honor Bands (both Asia and Europe) are due at Church Farm House no later than Monday, October 27th. posted 9 September, 2008
  • Reminder: When making travel arrangements teachers should keep in mind that the first workshop session begins at 13:00 on Thursday and the final session on Saturday will end at 17:00. posted 9 September, 2008
  • Reminder: You should register your students interested in the Jazz Skills Workshop as soon as possible. Registration for this workshop closes on September 15th. posted 8 September, 2008
  • Here are the new audition codes for the 2008-2009 school year. Use this new number to clearly mark all auditions being submitted for Honor Band and Honor Choir, Junior Honor Orchestra and Senior Honor Orchestra and Honor Jazz Band during the 2008-2009 school year. Do NOT use the initials for your school on the audition discs, CDs, or cassettes. posted 29 July, 2008
  • You might be interested to look at Colin Kirkpatrick's new national anthems website. It is for conductors, teachers or other individuals to download free sheet music for band or ensemble arrangements, scores and parts. The arrangements are playable by virtually any combination of instruments, symphonic band, UK brass band clarinet choir, stage band, marching band or even string ensemble - almost anything!.

  • Student Festival Acceptance Agreement - This form is to be duplicated for all students accepted into an AMIS Festival and must be signed by them and their parents. This form must be sent to AMIS headquarters! This is a change from previous years. (updated 22 September, 2007)
  • New - AMIS Festival Repertoire List. Repertoire is an ongoing component of all musical groups. Many teachers and guest conductors have asked us for a listing of those compositions which have been performed in the International Honor Festivals.
  • AMIS Festival & Workshop Calendar for 2008-2009 is now online. You may also view the calendar online and subscribe via iCal.
  • AMIS Financial Aid Forms (Three pages). Application may be made for all AMIS Festivals except Solo and Ensemble.
